Overview


This document outlines the self-enrollment process for Program Volunteers in the Spillett Leadership University (SLU).

Important: All Program Volunteers must enroll using the legal name of the Boys & Girls Club (BGC) organization you are volunteering with. If you do not know the chartered organization name, please contact your BGC representative before starting this process.

Self-Registration Link Usage:
 This link is exclusively for Program Volunteers to meet Safety Membership Requirements. A temporary license will be issued with limited access as follows:

  • License Duration: Volunteers will receive a 20-day term license upon account creation. They must complete all required training within this timeframe. If additional time is needed, please contact the Help Desk at [email protected] for an extension.
  • Content Availability: Content will not be accessible immediately after the first login. The system requires at least 6 hours to update before training materials can be accessed.
  • Catalog Access: Temporary license holders will not have full access to the catalog. For permanent access, please enroll in myBGCA.net. Click here for instructions on how to enroll in myBGCA.


Let’s Get Started


Program Volunteers, please follow the steps below to create your new SLU account:

  • Click here to begin or copy and paste the link (https://slu.csod.com/selfreg/register.aspx?c=temp.volunteer.manage) into your web browser.
  • Let’s begin by entering your email address and then click on the ‘Submit’ button.
  • You will be notified if you already have an existing account. Click OK to proceed to the login page. Use the Forgot your username or password? link to reset your login credentials.


  • New enrollees will be redirected to the enrollment form. Start by entering your First Name and Last Name.
  • DIVISION = YOUR BOYS & GIRLS CLUB ORGANIZATION NAME
    Click on the SELECT REGION button to search for your Boys & Girls Club charted organization affiliation name.

  • You can either type in parts for your Organization Name, click on the Search button to display the results, and then click on the Organization Name.

  • Click on the plus sign left of BGC to drill down by Region, State, and then Organization Name as follows:

  • Once you insert your organization name, now create your password using the criteria noted on the screen:



  • Please save your password and if at any time, you forget your password, please contact help desk at [email protected].
  • Click the REGISTER button to create your new account.
  • You will then be directed to your SLU Home page. As a reminder, catalog content will not be immediately available upon first login. The system will require at least 6 hours to update before the content is available for consumption. Proceed to step 7 on where to locate and register for your training.



 




  • Once the account is established, you can then log in directly to SLU using the link: https://slu.csod.com/client/slu/default.aspx
  • Once updated, trainings will be available in ‘Featured,’ ‘Child Safety’ and ‘Volunteer Track’ carousels/rotating banners under the Browse Training section.  
  • Click on the Featured or Volunteer Track to view the available Safety related trainings.
  • Once you locate the training, click on the training name to you wish to register.


  • Click Launch to begin your training.



  • Upon completion of this training, you will be directed to a page to the Training Completion page where you can rate and evaluate the training and print out your completion certificate.
